The Van Gaalens Trail Run offers various distances with plenty of single track going over many different types of surfaces from rocky mountain terrain to smooth flowing river trail.

Minimum age per race category: 6km – 12 Years, 20km – 18 years, 35km – 18 years

The 6km is a fast and flat trail with plenty to see over a short
distance, perfect to run with the kids. Elevation 70m

The 12km for those who did the 6km and are looking for something a bit more challenging, the route is not quite as rocky and tough as the longer distances. Elevation 177m

The 20km includes the Notorious ‘Poffadder’ section, so you can expect a gradual climb with a steep decent down the mountain with plenty of single track and tough terrain. Elevation 590m

The 35km has some exclusive trails that are not open to the public, you can expect a tough route but with some seriously awesome scenery and flowing trails along rivers and mountains.
