Short adventure race in the beautiful foothills of the Stellenbosch mountains. Great beginner adventure race to experience this amazing sport in a relatively safe format.
The start will be within a 15 minute drive from Stellenbosch town center. Exact location will be announced the day before the race.
Teams of 2
Disciplines to be expected:
Orienteering, Mountain biking and Trekking
Expected time: 2-6 hours
Included in your entry:
- Maps (1:50000 topographical as well as satellite imagery)
- Cool drink at the finish
- Marked out course
- Water at transition areas
NOT included in entry:
- Your race fueling
- Medical support/rescue
- Equipment
Required Gear:
- Weather appropriate attire (Rain jacket, warm jacket, hat)
- 1 space blanket per team
- Bicycle (Mountain bike or gravel bike. Mountain bike recommended)
- Helmet
- Capacity to carry 1.5L of water per person
- Waterproofed phone in bottom of your bag
Recommended gear:
- Compass
- Mapboard
- Box for transition
