The URBAN FIELDS Fun Run & Walk will take place on Wednesday, 26 March 2025.

The event caters to plodders, joggers, and serious runners.

Consisting of two distances, a challenging 9km or 5km.

Bring the whole family and come and enjoy the natural scenery and friendly atmosphere at URBAN FIELDS Farmstall. *Pet friendly*

The rustic farmstall restaurant serves farm-to-table organic meals, wood-fired pizza, paninis and sourdough bread, ostrich burgers, artisanal cheese made in-house, and many more. Indoor and outdoor seating.

DISTANCE AND ENTRY FEE

Online entry fees: 5km (R80) I 9km (R100) I Pensioners (R50)

On-the-day entry: Additional R30 will be added. Card payments are accepted only.

AMENITIES AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE

Farmstall restaurant and coffee shop.

A pre-order online form will be sent to each participant a few days before the event if you would like to place an order for food-fired pizza or paninis to enjoy after your run or walk.

ABOUT THE TWO ROUTES

Both the 9km and 5km routes are on gravel roads.

The start and finish will be at the Urban Fields Farmstall.

Condition of the gravel roads

The roads are in good running and walking conditions with only small rocky sections here and there on the route and due to the current rains, some sections will have small potholes.

9KM ROUTE

• Has a nice long climb in the middle of the run so do not start too fast.
• There will be two sections whereby you will need to cross the tar road.
• Security marshals will be at the crossings to assist.
• The first water point will be at the crossing of Luiperd Street and Cheetah Street.
• The second water point will be at the crossing of Tierpoort Road and Tau Road.

5KM ROUTE

• The 5km has a nasty but short climb to test those legs, but we guarantee that you will have some fun.
• Halfway turn around point will be just before the Tierpoort Road and Tau Road crossing. Security marshals will be at the crossing to assist.
• The water point will be before the half-mark point at the Tierpoort Road and Tau Road crossing.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

Due to the time of the year and being a late afternoon/evening run and walk event, we may run out of sunlight towards the end.

Please remember to bring your reflective gear, headlamps, waist belt lights, chest lights, or handheld lights. Make sure your lights are bright enough to be seen by other participants and vehicles on the route.

There will be lights for sale at registration before the run & walk if you do not have any.
