This event caters to the whole family. The main event being a Last man standing race with a variety of shorter races happening simultaneously. Live music, Food stalls and  a 24/7 Bonfire turns this event into a Festival.

Last man standing is a form of Ultra marathon race where competitors must consecutively run the distance of 6.706km (4.167miles) in less than an hour, which is a pace of 100miles per 24 hours. 100miles is also the goal of this race. The race is over when only one runner remains to complete the lap. This runner is marked as the winner and only finisher, with all the other runners receiving a “DNF” (Did not Finish).

Runners will start every hour on the hour with a new lap until only one remains standing. The Winner will receive the highly sought after Winners T-shirt and Trophy while the DNF athletes all receive a smaller trophy with their amount of laps completed. An ideal collectors item.

VENUE:

We make use of the beautiful grounds of BETHLEHEM CHRISTIAN CENTRE.

This beautiful 35 ha small holding is situated on the outskirts of Bethlehem, in the heart of Free State and central South Africa. The mall is only 2km away and easily accessible. 

ACCOMMODATION:

The Venue has 45 campsites available for runners to stay on site for the weekend. All stands have an electrical plug point and tap with running water. Beautiful bathrooms with baths and showers are also available. Families with children can make use of the Kids area with Jumping Castles. Stand sizes are 6m x9m. Up to 6 people permitted per stand at an additional cost of R200 per stand plus R75 per person.

Bethlehem Christian Centre also has a resident dog called Chase on patrol. He is a black Labrador and loves people.
