Get ready to race hard, ride free, and vibe deep at WINDPOMP XCO | XCM | XCG – a unique MTB weekend where Cross Country (XCO), Marathon (XCM), and Gravel (XCG) riders come together in the iconic coastal town of Stilbaai. This isn’t just a race – it’s a full-on experience built around raw talent, wild scenery, and a community with heart.

E-bikes are welcome in the 106km Gravel Race and 40 & 60km Marathon, giving riders the chance to experience the thrill of the course. However, please note that E-bike participants will not be eligible for podium positions.

XCO Official Course Practise: Friday 25th of April 2025 13:00 – 18:00 (no Sprogs & Nippers)

The TECH Zone for the XCO is 300 meters up the road from the START.

Fast-paced, technical and spectator-friendly! XCO takes place on a lap-based course with A- and B-lines, punchy climbs, and flowy descents – suited for both licensed racers and weekend warriors. Multiple age categories from Nippers (8-10) to Grand Masters (60+).

Distances: Laps vary by category

TEAM GAZEBOS

• Teams must reserve a spot – only Teams with reservations will be allowed into the Team Gazebo area. 
• Max two single or one double gazebo per Team. 
• Contact [email protected] to reserve a spot before Friday, the 25th of April 2025. 
• Set up will only be allowed on Saturday, the 26th of April 2025, from 06:30 – 07:30 (gazebos erected at the Team’s risk). 
• Gazebos can only be removed on Saturday, the 26th of April, once the final podium has taken place.

XCO REGISTRATION – All categories, Sprogs to Elites and Masters 50+

• Registration & Number board collection on Friday 25th of April from 13:00 –18:00
• All riders must report to Registration
• Entrants will be issued a Number Board at Registration.
• Cycling SA Membership is required.
• UCI categories also require a Domestic Racing Licence

XCM & XCG REGISTRATION – Sub juniors to Masters 50+

• Registration & Number board collection on Friday, 25th of April from 13:00 - 18:00 and on Saturday, 26th of April from 06:00 - 07:00.
• Riders will be issued with a Race Board that must be returned at the end of your race.
• Cycling SA Membership is required. 
• UCI categories also require a Domestic Racing Licence.

RACE VILLAGE

STABLES Restaurant is situated 1.2km outside STILBAAI before the bridge crossing the GOUKOU River. We will host the event next to Stables.

TURN OFF from N2 between Albertinia & Riversdale. Follow R305 for 27km. The venue is on your LEFT before crossing the BRIDGE into Stilbaai.

 INTRO: The WINDPOMP series of events in APRIL 2025 will offer a great weekend of cycling in Stilbaai.

Starts: The XCM starts on Saturday, the 26th of April 2025, and the XCO on Sunday the 27th, 08:00 from the WINDPOMP Race Village Area next to Stables. The GRAVEL event also starts at 08:00 on Saturday, the 26th of April 2025, at the RACE Village at Stables.
