What to expect?
Part of adventure racing is the mystery that will only be solved on the day that you receive the maps. During this edition of the Hessequa Adventure Race, you will not be paddling but you will get wet! Expect to head up or down a kloof, find your own trails through wilderness areas and cycle up more rolling hills than you can count.

Accommodation:
Rooms available at Helderberg High School residence for the first 20 teams. Book your room when you enter.
Our races are guaranteed to be tough but it is designed to be achievable in the allocated time. Shortened options will be available if you do not make certain cut-offs.
Unique to this year's event is the option to race as a 3-person team. There will not be a paddling leg, which means you don't have to pair up in boats.

About the ARWS Africa Series
For 2024 there will be no regional championship race and the ARWS Africa Champions will instead be decided by the best 3 scores from the 5 races in the series. The winners will take a free place at the Adventure Racing World Championship 2025 in Canada.
