Join us for an unforgettable aquatic adventure in the breathtaking coastal village of Gordons Bay, nestled at the foot of the majestic Hottentots Holland Mountains and the False Bay Coast. Prepare to be enthralled by the beauty of the surroundings as you embark on one of three thrilling events: the 1.6km and the 3km Swim, and/or the 4x 400m Relay.
Registration for this extraordinary experience will take place at the prestigious Krystal Beach Hotel on Harbour Island starting at 07:00 am (We will notify you of alternate registration times and venues closer to the time). Immerse yourself in the excitement and camaraderie as fellow swimmers from all walks of life gather to participate in this remarkable event.
Prize giving will be held shortly after the relay. There will be some incredible lucky draw prizes along with the category winners.
1.6km Swim:
Dive into the action at 09:00 am from the iconic Gordon's Bay Harbour. This invigorating point-to-point swim will take you on a captivating journey, culminating at the Harbour Island slipway. Prior to the race, make your way to Gordon's Bay Harbour by 08:30 am for an essential race briefing. For your convenience, bags will be provided to store your clothing. Ensure that your bag is clearly tagged with your race number, enabling a seamless identification and collection process at Harbour Island. (Tags will be provided at registration). Brace yourself for a memorable start at Gordon's Bay Harbour aligning with the Orca buoys as you embark on a direct route towards Harbour Island. Your epic swim concludes at the slipway, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment like no other.
3km Swim:
Set your sights on a challenging 3km swim that commences at 09:00 am from the heart of Harbour Island itself, right at the slipway. Be prepared and ready to make a splash by 08:30 am for the race briefing. This challenging swim will lead you through the Harbour mouth towards Gordon's Bay Harbour encompassing a clockwise route back to the starting point at Harbour Island. As you approach the slipway, the sense of triumph will be overwhelming.
4x 400m Relay:
Experience the ultimate team spirit and unleash your competitive side with the electrifying Harbour Island canal relay! Starting at 11:30 am in front of the luxurious Krystal Beach Hotel, each team will consist of four competitors, with each member completing one exhilarating lap of 400m. Assemble your dream team, choose a playful name and prepare to conquer the Island in the shortest possible time. The waiting team member will be eagerly anticipating their turn stationed on the jetty ready to take over from their swimming counterpart. Embark on a clockwise journey around the Island, fueled by the cheers and support of the crowd. Unleash your competitive prowess and etch your team's name into the halls of greatness!
We want to ensure that you are highly visible and provide a unified look for all participants. Every swimmer will be provided with a mandatory Red KFC swim cap.

Q: Can I swim in my wetsuit?
A: Absolutely! Wear your wetsuit and optimise your performance in the open waters.
Q: Can I enter the solo swim and the relay event?
A: Yes! For those seeking an extra challenge and the thrill of team camaraderie, you have the opportunity to participate in both the solo swim and the relay event. Simply complete two separate registrations and make your payment accordingly.
Q: How do I register my team?
A: It's simple!
You will need to nominate a team captain to register all 4 swimmers. All swimmers will need to have registered their own profile in Entry Ninja as we need all their medical details such as Medical Aid, Emergency Contact Person, Blood Type, Allergies etc.
The team captain will then select them by clicking on the green button, labelled Add another person, then searching (by name, email or ID number) for each team member.
The team member's details will be listed with a blue + sign below the search bar.
Select the team member (it will then turn grey), scroll down and then click ADD.
Repeat until all four spots are filled, then click NEXT.
On the new page click the green Create a new team button.
Give the team a name and select the 4 members of the team, then click Next.
Select the HARBOUR2HARBOUR 4x400m Relay option on the CLASS page, then click Next.
Confirm the Start Time on the next page, then click Next.
Complete the Questionnaire for each swimmer, then click Next.
You can then complete the registration.
The team captain will be charged for all 4 swimmers.
I don't have medical aid, can I still enter?
Yes! Insert N/A in the medical aid box.
This event supports team entries for certain classes, but teams must consist of 4 participants per team.
