Join us for the Blouberg Super Tri, the last event is the Super Tri series for 2024.
To end off the year with a bang we introduce a spectacular new venue at Milnerton High School. Not only does it offer spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Rietveli Wetland Reserve, but it offers top quality facilities with an indoor heated pool fit for Olympic champions, stationary bikes sponsored by Sports Science Institute of South Africa and a run around the track and cross the finish line in style.
The Race:
The transitions: (from swim to bike as well as from bike to run) will not be included in your total time. This allows you to change into the most comfortable gear for the next leg of your triathlon.
The swim leg: 25 meter indoor heated pool with trained lifeguards as marshals to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable swim.
The bike leg: spinning and watt bikes (your choice) for a safe traffic free ride. Do not be fooled, you still work hard on a stationary bike.
The run leg: cross country route finishing off around the cricket field with a view.
Distances:
Super Sprint: 400m pool swim, 10km stationary bike, 2km outdoor run
Sprint: 600m pool swim, 15km stationary bike, 4km outdoor run
Registration
Collect your race wristband & timing chip 30 minutes before the start of your timeslot.
Online Pre-Entries open until the Thursday before race day (or until sold out). No late entries allowed.
Race Start
You need to pre-select a specific time slot. Please take note of your timeslot when you enter.
Registration: 30 minutes before each time slot
Time slots: from 7:00am (every half hour)
Race briefing: 5 minutes before the swim start of each time slot
(solo or team options)
Event Timing
The swim and bike legs are recorded manually by marshals at the pool and stationary bikes to ensure the correct distance is completed before recording the time. It is the responsibility of each athlete to make sure the swim and bike marshal records the correct time for the swim and bike legs.
The run leg is timed with an electronic timing system by touching a timing tag onto a timing pod. It is the responsibility of each athlete to tag properly and make sure they hear a beep and see a green light before continuing with the next lap.
Race for a Purpose
Tiny Owls Baby Home is our charity of choice for the event. It provides temporary safety care to abandoned and relinquished babies who are being placed for adoption. In addition to disposable nappies and formula, they also need money to pay 24/7 staff and medical bills.
