Spring Trail Run along with the Hiking Outdoor Expo

Celebrate Spring with a trail run on the popular De Wildt trails and also get a FREE entry to the Hiking Outdoor Expo.

This dog-friendly day on the trails will not only provide an awesome trail challenge for all levels of runners, but it is also hiker friendly with generous cut-off times over each of the 3 route options!

This event is open to BOTH hikers and runners with generous cut-off times.

This event is hiker friendly and therefore generous cut-off times will be applied. All participants will need to be off the route by 14:00

Route Description:

5km - Elevation: 251m. This trail is ideal for families and dogs, kids and beginners.

13km - Elevation: 508m. This trail takes you to the top of the Magalies right on the border between the Gauteng and North West border. What is unique on this trail is that it gives you the opportunity to be on and out of the mountain before the summer heat. It's a moderate trail that is most popular for families with children, which gives you a view of Hartbeespoort dam and surroundings. It is an all-out experience, you get to climb the mountain, experience the views, see the season waterfalls and rockpools even at a beginner level. 

18km - Elevation 785m. This route follows the 13km route out to the top of the Magalieberg before adding an additional loop along the ridge of the mountain. There are two escape routes.
