The Parys Impact MTB series is an annual mountain bike race series held in the town of Parys, located in the Free State province of South Africa, one hour drive from Johannesburg. The series comprises of multiple races over several months, with different routes and distances to suit riders of all skill levels. The routes take riders through the scenic landscape of the Vredefort Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is known for its unique geology and beautiful natural features. 

The Parys Impact MTB Series also includes fun rides and family events, making it an inclusive event for everyone who loves cycling. The series attracts a diverse range of participants, from professional racers to weekend warriors and families, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates the sport of mountain biking.

The venue has enough space for kids to run around and chase the chickens. The food options include pizzas, burgers, and baskets - very tasty and still very affordable.

You can sit inside or outside, there is a swimming pool for post-race recovery and a lekker open plan kuier-vibe.

Driving directions

• From Johannesburg take the N1 South and pass through the Grasmere Toll Plaza
• Approximately 60 km further take the Parys / Sasolburg turn-off to Parys
  (R59 to Parys 20 km).
• Enter the Town and keep in the right lane
• Follow the Potchefstroom road signs
• At the traffic light(c/o Breë and Van Coller Streets) turn right and cross the Vaal River
• Proceed about 2 km and turn left on the R53 to Potchefstroom
• Travel 10 km and take the turn-off to Venterskroon
• Travel 13 km and Venterskroon Inn will be on your right.
