On the 20th of January 2024 we will host our 1st event of the Run The Vines Trail Run Series 2024 presented by First Ascent at the majestic Italian Farm called Ayama.

Ayama is situated just outside Paarl on the foothills of the Paardeberg mountain.

This year we will also be celebrating the start of our 10-year celebrations in March.  We are also proud to announce that First Ascent is now the main sponsor of our events. Other sponsors like 32Gi, Manzi Water Paarl, Peninsula Beverages and Echo Friend Rentals are again committed to 2024.

Run The Vines is a Trail Run series for the whole family. Young and old can enter and it is suitable for all fitness levels. Walkers are welcome on the 3km, 5km and 10km distances. Please do not walk the 17km distance. 

We also launched Hike The Vines at some of the venues. Hike the vines will be a hike and not a run that will take place on the Sunday after the run. Runners can buy a combo deal to enter the run and the hike the following day. At some venues we will also include tented accommodation so you can stay over for the weekend if you want to. • 50% Discount for over 65's
• 1st Place age category prizes for 40 - 49 Years, 40 - 59 Years, 60 - 69 Years and over 70's on the 10km and 17km distances.
• Order of Merit for series in all age categories Open, Over 40, over 50, over 60 and over 70 on the 10km and 17km distances. You have to take part in all 12 events. This means that only runners that take part in all 12 events will qualify for the prize. Prizes to be confirmed.

Combo Deal with Hike The Vines on the 21st

Enter any distance on Saturday the 20th plus Hike The Vines 10.3km hike on Sunday the 21st and get R50 discount on the hike.

Please note that the Sunday is a hike and not a run.

R50 Late entry fee.

All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.

Waterpoints will be available. It is however always advised to be self-sufficient when it comes to hydration when you run.

Medals for all. 

There will be a dedicated safe keeping area to keep all your valuables. Please do not leave items such as handbags, cell phones and wallets in the car.
