2024 TINMAN JOBURG SERIES
The 2024 Joburg TINMAN Series will be hosted at Prime View. There will be 4 events during the year so mark your calender and odn't miss out! PRIME VIEW! (https://prime-view.co.za/)
This TinMan event will host the TTA & CGT Championship Event! Every athlete wanting to enter for the Championship MUST have a valid TSA Licence (no day licences will be accepted).
Distances for the TTA & CGT Championships:
- SUPER SPRINT (400m Swim/ 10km Cycle / 2,5 km Run) Min Age: 12 years - Max Age 15 years
- SPRINT TRI (750m Swim / 24km Cycle / 5km Run) Min Age: 16 yr- BOTH JUNIOR AND AGE GROUPS CHAMPS
- STANDARD TRI (1.5km Swim / 40km Cycle / 10km Run) 18yrs up.
- Athletes racing for TTA & CGT CHAMPS - Must have annual TSA Licences - Contact Triathlon SA to secure one.
-- Online entry portal closes on Thursday, 24 October 2024 at midnight.
-- Standard Tri / Duathlon / Teams are NON-DRAFTING. All the other distances are draft legal.

The TinMan series is the oldest running triathlon series in South Africa, having started in Durban in 1999. Now a national Series, with events in Joburg, the Cape and KZN, this is one Series you can’t miss out on. The National Tinman Series is a popular family orientated series that includes 3 Triathlon events on the day as well as a 5km fun run race and a Duathlon (Run / Cycle / Run)

Due to an increase in road closure costs with a longer Championship course, there are additional costs leading to a price increase as from 01 October 2024.
Events:
- 5km Fun Run (Timed event but no prizes or prize money)
- Mini Tri (200m Swim / 6km Cycle / 2.5km Run) Min Age: 8yrs
- Super Sprint Tri (400m Swim / 10km Cycle / 2.5km Run) Min Age: 12yrs
- Sprint Tri & Relay Tri (750m Swim / 20km Cycle / 5km Run) Min Age: 16yrs - Cut off 2hrs 45min
- Standard Tri & Relay Tri (1.5km Swim / 40km Cycle / 10km Run) Min Age: 18yrs - Cut off 3hrs50min
- Standard Duathlon (10km Run / 40km Cycle / 5km Run) 18yrs up - 3hr 50min cut off

Registration on Sunday monring: 5:45am to 7am
START TIMES: To be confrimed on final race info.
Also included is an awesome safe fun family event, Finishers medals or similar and an ice cold aQuelle as well as Lucky draw prizes and Winners prizes.
TSA: All athletes must either have an annual TSA licence or purchase a Temporary TSA Licence which will be valid for the event only.
CYCLING will be on the road
RUNNING will be Offroad on Gravel roads.
Road Bikes and MTB Bikes only allowed. (Draft legal event)
ENTRIES CLOSE THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE EACH EVENT.
TINMAN Race T-shirts will be available to buy at the finish area @ R300 per T-shirt. (Limited stock and sizes are available)
