2024 TINMAN KZN SERIES - 25 years old

The TinMan Series is perfect for those who like to keep moving and it’s the oldest & biggest family Tri-Series in South Africa. The series was started in 1999 and has become very popular nationally and a household name to many athletes. It is a fun, family orientated series that includes multiple events during a calendar year, all of them taking place at the same venue, utilising full road closure and flat running routes. The Tinman Series is a popular family orientated series that includes 3 Triathlon distances on the day as well as a 10km running race and a duathlon.

KZN Duathlon Champs for 2024 will be hosted at TinMan on Sunday, 12 May 2024!

All athletes who want ot be elligible for selection must have a valid annual TSA licence. 

KZN Champs Events:

Standard Distance Duthalon: 10km Run / 32km Cycle /  5km Run (20 years and up)

Sprint Duahtlon: 5km Run /  22km Cycle / 2.5km Run  (Juniors 16yrs - 19 yrs and open)

Super Sprint 2.5km Run / 10km Cycle / 2.5km Run  (12yrs - 15yrs and open)

• Sprint Tri & SWIM/RUN: 6:30am to 7:30am 
• Mini Tri: 6:30am to 7:30am

Challenge Tri: 7am at uShaka Beach

Sprint Duathlon: 7:20am at Suncoast

Swim / Run & Sprint Tri: 7:40am at uShaka Beach

Super Sprint Duathlon: 7:40am at Suncoast

Super Sprint Tri: 8am at uShaka Beach

Mini Tri: 8:15am at uShaka Beach

CYCLING will be on the road  | RUNNING will be on paving | Road Bikes and MTB Bikes only allowed. (Draft legal event) NO Tri Bikes. 

ENTRIES CLOSE THE THURSDAY AT MIDNIGHT BEFORE EACH EVENT.

MERCHANDISE AVAILABLE TO ORDER UNTIL THE MONDAY OF RACE WEEK. COLLECTION WILL BE AT REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY.

Very Important information:

• FINAL Race Instructions will be emailed on the Friday morning before each event to the email address associated with your Entry Ninja account. 
• This event is DRAFT LEGAL. NO tri Bikes.
• Relay Team entries are allowed for the Sprint and Challenge distance
• All competitors will receive and ice-cold aQuellé at the finish line and a finishers keyring or medal at the finish. 
• There will be a prize giving and lucky draw prizes
• Due to the ever-growing pollution of our planet, our race numbers are recycled and reused. Please remember to hand them in at the finish line to receive your medal.
