Runners can choose between a 5km and 10km run with a complimentary Patriot Coffee for all runners as well as a medal and 375ml Zevenwacht Estate Cabernet Sauvignon for all finishers. Podium prizes for the men’s and ladies’ winners.
Trailrun enthusiasts are invited to join the #run4renosterveld run at picturesque Zevenwacht Wine Estate on Sunday, 10 September 2023.
The event hosted by In Touch Athletic Club in Kuilsriver in collaboration with the Bottelary Hills Renosterveld Conservancy (BHRC) offers a 5km and 10km route with medals for all finishers and podium prizes for the male and female runners in both categories.

Coffee, breakfast buns and wine tastings will be on offer with water tables on route.
Runners can enjoy the beautiful Bottelary Hills in a safe environment. The rolling hillsides feature magnificent mountain views, vineyards, farmland and Renosterveld conservation areas. Funds raised will be donated to the BHRC for Renosterveld rewilding and community development projects.
Founded in 1992, the BHRC is a critical part of the Cape Floral Kingdom and contains some of the very few remaining Renosterveld tracts of land close to the Cape Metropole. Less than 4% of the original Renosterveld in the Western Cape remains.
Ongoing alien plant eradication and environmentally sustainable farming practices contribute to the conservation of the Bottelary Hills, while community development programmes aim to address the socio-economic challenges of the people living and working on the farms within the conservancy.

Apart from stunning views, visitors might also sight game such as caracal, grysbok, grey duiker, porcupine, bat-eared foxes, Cape foxes and otters or the many bird species that are still prevalent in the Bottelary Hills.
