REGISTRATION IS OPEN!!! The St Blaize Trail Hike/Run is an anual event with exciting options to choose from!
Available distances include:
- HIKE: You can choose to do your own day hike starting at the cave at 9am, OR, catch the shuttle at 7h45 and do the whole segment which commences in Dana Bay!. Kids under 12 accompanied by an adult are free of charge. (You can add more drinks and burgers for them to your entry under 'Merchandise').
TRAIL RUN:
- 14km Hike/Run
- 28km Run
- 42km (Runners Only - cut off 9 hours)
* Event merch, extra burgers and drinks etc are available under 'Merchandise'.
- Coffee & Rusks will be served from 05:30 at the race tent!
- PLEASE NOTE that hikers/runners doing the Single (14km) Hike/Run (8am) and also the Marathon (42km) Run (6am) will start in Dana Bay. Registration however, is open from 5h30 at the race tent at The Point in Mossel Bay. We do have a shuttle service available (leaving 5h45 and 7h45 from the Cave respectively) if you need to be transported from Mossel Bay. You can opt in for the shuttle under 'Merchandise'. (Marathon runners can commence their run at the Dana Bay start of the st Blaize trail from the bottom of Malva Street any time from 6am and 14km hikers&runners can start any time from 8am, irrespective of the time the shuttle dropped you off).
(If you do make use of the STRAVA App and make your activity 'Public', we will be able to pick up your time in which you managed to complete the applicable STRAVA Segment(s). Otherwise, you will be required to send proof of your activity to us via w/a, a.s.a.p. after completion of your hike/run to enable us to publish it. Also send your photo's and selfies!
Numbers & trail food 'boms' will be handed out at Registration.
*Compulsory gear list for all runners/hikers:
Sunscreen, hat, comfortable shoes. Lightweight waterproof jacket/fleece, walking sticks (optional). Snacks/trail food & 1,5l water. (Extra water available on route at Pinnacle point and also at the race tent, to refill your hydration pack)..
