20 May 2023 marks the 1st edition of the Eden_burg 100 Miler. You think you have what it takes? With a well-planned approach, it’s a very achievable challenge that will transform you into the ultimate mountain biker! The Eden_burg 100 Miler, 80 km, and 40 km will start this year at Die Buite Plaas, Ferreira Road. The distance is relatively 160 km, 80km and 40km which travels through the flat lands of the Free State.

The route isn’t technical, but challenges riders with a few hills to overcome. 

The 160km race starts at “Die Buite Plaas” and makes its way to Toms Place (Water Point 1) and from there to Edenburg School (Water Point 3) and on the way back you will take a loop of 45km through a spectacular part in between farms that is a bit more challenging with Water point 4 to fill up, refuel and find your way back to Toms Place and all the way back to the starting point.

The 80km starts at “Die Buite Plaas”, makes its way to Toms Place (Water Point 1) and 20km further, at Water Point 2 (Groot Bloekomboom), riders will turn around and make their way back to Toms Place and back to the Start.

The 40km starts at “Die Buite Plaas”, makes its way to Toms Place (Water Point 1),riders will turn around and make their way back to the Start.

This Eden_burg is a solo race. The objective of this 100 Mile Challenge is to turn it into an experience which left the riders and guests with a lasting memory, also to create a fun, memorable experience. This Challenge will provide a platform where pro riders can challenge one another, while still catering for the masses who are enthusiastic, hobbyist riders. Gravel Bikes is allowed and will be in contention for podium. 

The venue caters for the whole family so bring the kids to enjoy some fun in the sun with loads of activities, while you wait for the riders to come in. There is a restaurant that has a menu with a big variety for all to enjoy. Cash and card facilities available.
