You might have driven down the Blaauwklippen Road on your way to one of the fantastic wineries in this valley but have you ever dreamed of running along the Blouklip River, up towards the Helderberg mountain and along Stellenbosch mountain, passing all these wineries along the way?

Join us for the inaugural Blouklip Trail Run on the 3rd of December as we explore this beautiful valley, exclusively opened just for us on this one day. We will start at Waterford and run past a great number of indigenous trees that are approved by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as part of an attempt to sustain the ecosystem on the farm. The route will head up to the foot of the Dome and lead us along the contour path to De Trafford Wines. Some unique single track that is the winemaker’s regular walking path to the mountain will be your route to their cellar. At Keermont you will run past their vineyards and along the river under a canopy of trees. A beautiful old bridge along the route will take you back in time. Don’t forget to smell the roses as you run past Kleinood, its fynbos and beautiful olive trees. Dornier is not only part of the Golden Triangle but their single tracks along the Stellenbosch mountain will be a first class experience along the route. Keep your eyes open for dragonflies as you run past Stellenzicht, as this is an ever-present sign of nature in fine balance, just like their wines.
