What's the "Cause"?

"Operation Bobbi Bear is a human rights organization committed to helping sexually abused children in Amanzimtoti, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa.

A “Bobbi Bear” is a non-threatening means (bear) for child victims of sexual abuse to communicate the nature of the abuse, crossing all language barriers and preventing secondary abuse at the point of rescue.

It provides a better understanding of actual events and enables the initiation of appropriate HIV and AIDS interventions.

Our success rate is a testament to our organization’s training programs. We rescue and provide safe homes for abused children, work with the criminal justice system to prosecute perpetrators, educate individuals and communities, and much, much more."

18twenty8® is an award-winning, women-led, non-profit organisation that empowers young women, between the ages of 18 and 28, by developing strategies for their educational and personal development. Our vision is of a South Africa in which girls and young women are educated and empowered to lead. This vision is brought to life through four programmes: 

• interactive life-skills workshops for girls in grade 11 and 12 at high schools in marginalised communities  
• a mentorship programme called the Big Sister Network that matches undergraduate young women to professional women for psycho-social support and career exposure 
•  financial assistance for young women to cover the costs of any degree 
•  a leadership development camp for undergraduate young women

We are passionate about producing successive generations of educated, female leaders in South Africa who will not only ensure that the workforce is more gender equal and equitable, but will be equipped to tackle the many economic, social and political challenges facing our country.

Collections:

We will be using Paxi to courier your race pack to the nearest Pep or Shoe City store in your area for collection.

You will have to choose this option during the entry process you will need to check the nearest Paxi Point and copy the Store code which is the P number in orange in brackets and paste it as an answer to the questions, eg. "Pep Kleinmond Spar Centre (P8390)"

Results Upload:

1.Go to the Strava website https://www.strava.com/mobile and follow the steps to download the app.

2.Create your account on Strava

3.Enter with www.entryninja.co.za

4.Link Entry Ninja to Strava when entering. (Remember for families you will have to log in to each member's profile/switch accounts to link with Strava)

5.Go out, go walk/run/ride while recording on Strava

6.Upload your distance again to Entry Ninja when finished.
