After a two year rest the Widmeul Cellar Waterblommetjie Festival is back.

The waterblommetjie is one of South Africa's most famous edible plants. It has a long history of use by the indigenous Khoikhoi, both medicinally and as a nutritious food. The name means "little water flower" and though it's an edible flower, it's not the sort that is used to garnish a salad.

This one is hardy enough to be used in the most proud of South African stews, the waterblommetjiebredie.

Join us on the 3rd of September at Windmeul for a fun day out with the whole family. With live music, food stalls (farmers market), wine and of course the waterblommetjie potjiekos competition.

Adult accompanying a child on 3km  -  R70 

5km Run The Vines  -  R120  - Start: 8:45

10km Run The Vines - R140 - Start: 8:30

17km Run The Vines - R170 - Start: 8:00

R30 Late entry fee.

All unpaid entries will be removed after 3 days.

Waterpoints will be available. It is however always advised to be self sufficient when it comes to hydration when you run.

Your entry fee includes the R10 timing fee. Timing is done on Webscorer.

Free Oasis Paarl water at the finish line.

All Covid regulations are in place as per the regulations at Mellasat.
