Join us for an amazing challenging but oh so rewarding hike up to Harties Cableway!

Hike a beautiful part of the Magalies Mountain Range, the approx 3.5 km trail takes you right to the top of the mountain, next to the Harties Cableway where you will enjoy stunning views of Harties and the dam! The hike to the top of the mountain will quickly turn into a day of enjoyment away from the pressures of city life. On top, you feel as if you are in another world, and there is plenty to enjoy in this small paradise.

There is a self service express restaurant at the top of the cableway where you can buy light meals to enjoy on the terrace or at one of the viewing decks. You may also want to sip on a cocktail at the bar while admiring the view from the terrace. Note: The restaurant / express shop and bar is a cashless establishment.

Trail is rough and a rocky path not recommended for those who do not hike often. NB! Shoes with grip compulsory!

Guided Hike Up and Down - R 150-00pp (7km)

Guided Hike Up ONLY and Cableway down - R 300-00 (3.5km)

Trail : 3.5km UP and 3.5km DOWN (Fair degree of fitness required)

Duration: + - 2.5hrs UP and then 1 hour leisure at the top then +- 2.5 hours down.

Grading: Moderate to Difficult

Times:

Registration: from 7am

Hike Briefing: 10 min before your start time

Hike Start : 8am

Approx arrival time at the top : 10.30am

Leisure at the top for an hour. Depending how busy it is on the top.

Start going down at +- 12 noon.

Arrive at the parking area approx 2pm.
