Mahai is a beautifully situated campsite nestled along the Mahai River with magnificent mountains forming the backdrop. All sites have shared cold-water taps. Mahai campsite is serviced by five, modern ablution blocks with hot baths and showers, flush toilets, laundry machines and dish-washing facilities. it’s a great campsite by any standards – facilities are top notch, it’s child-friendly and the almost fully grassed campsite is surrounded by tall trees and bordered on one side by a mountain stream. The result is a well-run and maintained campsite in an exquisite area that offers the more adventurous plenty to do

Shop: The shop is well stocked with curios and supplies.

Hiking Trails :

Friday - Arrival Day from 3pm

Saturday - Guided Trail: Tugela Gorge Hike – 14km round trip – 5-6 Hours – Moderate

Sunday - Guided Trail: Cascades – other short trails from campsite - 8km’s round trip – 4 Hours – Easy

Swimming in natural pools at the Cascades.

No obligation to do the trails. If you want to just join for the weekend you most welcome to.

Monday - Depart 10 am

Lots of shorter routes as well from the camp site.

Rates: R 3 750.00pp per person / sharing a tent - only two people sharing a tent - for 3 Nights / 4 Days.
