Overberg MTB Events and De Hoop Collection join together to host this pristine getaway weekend in one of South Africa’s Flagship Marine Nature Reserves, known as De Hoop. Riders will be experiencing the untamed and unspoiled mountain bike trails including limestone jeep tracks, custom made single tracks and miles of breath-taking ocean views.
De Hoop Collection is famous for their top class accommodation, warm hospitality, delicious food and friendly staff making the experience one that you will always come back for.
This is a unique getaway for riders, families and friends. Activities on the reserve also includes amazing walking trails, tours to Potberg, Lekkerwater and other adjacent destinations. Also nature walks, and wildlife encounters, which raises the standard of any expectations for guests staying over.
De Hoop is known as one of the best land-based whale watching spots in the world. Between June and November the coastline is transformed as southern right whales migrate here to breed and look after their young. This is the place where wildlife roams free, and more reason to book your spot and accommodation for the weekend.
There will be a welcoming optional sunset ride on Friday afternoon for riders who want to stretch the legs and experience some of the extraordinary De Hoop Vlei views before dinner.
Saturday and Sunday will provide some decent time in the saddle and a few iconic climbs but just enough distance to enjoy the rest of the afternoon, socializing and relaxing with friends and family. Distances are 55km and 62km respectively.
Entry fee of R3 950 Includes:
- 2 x Dinners, 2 x Lunches and 2 x Breakfasts at the Fig Tree restaurant at De Hoop Collection
- 1 x Bottle of complimentary wine
- 1 x Complimentary massage by EPT recovery
- Water Points on Route
- Bike wash
- Medical assistance on route.

Cape Nature Gate fee payable at gate.
