The Goudrivier 3 Day Mountain Bike Stage Race and 1 Day Challenge Race offers you all the excitement of a true African experience.
Experience the beauty and splendour of the UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere in the undulating lands of a private game reserve.
Push yourself to your personal limits through gruelling, rocky, mountainous terrain and navigate wide open savannahs and unspoilt wilderness.
The only spectators surrounding you will be the abundant African game, who will curiously stare at you while munching on their choice of veld grass.
The Goudrivier 3 Day Stage Race promises to be exhilarating and challenging. Be prepared for anything. Glide through man-made, handcrafted trails. Bump along Jeep experience tracks.
Be brave and courageous as you push yourself harder through the rough, wild, virgin landscape with rivers and much more... Only 300 race entries are available.
This is an absolute must on any trail calendar and promises to be a fun getaway for the whole family (COVID-19 Regulations Permitting All Covid-19 Rules and Regulations will be adhered to.

Race and accommodation end on Monday evening, April 26th after the Prize Giving. Racers and guests are welcome to stay until Tuesday 27th April, however, cater for their own food on Monday night 26th April and on Tuesday 27th April. No food will be served on Tuesday 27th April.

Accommodation
- Roughing it in the bushveld.
- A tented camping area is available for accommodation.
- This tent site is included in the Goudrivier 3 Day Stage Race package price.
- All entrants and their guests must please bring their own tents and camping equipment. No tents will be supplied by the race organisers.
- No Caravans or Tented trailers will be able to travel through the access roads.
- There are no electrical plug points at the camping site.
- No open fires, including Webers and open fire braai equipment, will be allowed on the premises.
- There will be communal braai areas provided by the race organisers.
- Race attendees and guests are welcome to bring their own gas stoves/braais.
- Toilets and ablution facilities are available.
- Should entrants not want to camp in tents, on the actual race premises, we will provide the contact details of the Waterberg Tourism Board. You are welcome to contact them to find suitable alternative accommodation near the race venue.
- There are plenty of Guest Houses, B+B's, Private Game Lodges and Hotels in the Waterberg/ Vaalwater region.
Meals
- 9 meals are included in the 3 Day Stage Race entry fee for competitors only.
- Free Coffee will be available at breakfast time and dinner time, which is included in the 3 Day Stage Race entry fee for competitors only.
- The meals included in the race entry package are Friday dinner, Saturday 3 meals, Sunday 3 meals, Monday breakfast and lunch.
- Family and guests of racers can purchase breakfast, lunch, dinner meal tickets.
- Per Meal: R190.00 p/adult, R100.00 per child.
- Guests and family of racers can also self-cater in the tented camping site for themselves.
- There will be a little tuck shop available at the venue.
- Should race entrants bring guests and family to accompany them for the weekend, they need to self-cater in the tented camping site for themselves.
- There are communal braai facilities available at the venue, attendees and their guests are welcome to bring their own gas stoves/braais.
- No open fires will be allowed in the tented camping area as this poses huge fire hazards in the open bushveld.
- Any other food and beverage requirements and snacks must be provided by the race attendees and guests themselves.
- The water available is clear river water, if attendees do not want to drink river water they must please bring their own water.

Optional accommodation:

- These sites will be demarcated in accordance with Covid-19 regulations to ensure social distancing regulations are adhered to.

- No more than 5 people will be allowed per campsite.

☞ Each person attending the race (competitors and spectators) must be listed and added to this page.
☞This is necessary for catering quantities on meal tickets and anyone attending who requires extra accommodation for the 1 Day challenge Races.
☞Remember the 3 Day Challenge Race includes accommodation for 5 people per 1 race package. in the tent site.
☞Each racer must be entered for a race individually and each spectator must be added as 1 individual.
☞On each booking page, you will be required to list how many meal tickets per spectator are required and how many night’s accommodations are required in the tent site on the premises.
☞T-shirts are not available for the 1 Day Challenge Races.
