Here is each Different Racing Format:

• Special Forces: This category is for the serious athlete that trains more than 3 times a week. The obstacles are more technical and the distance covered is further 10km with 40+ Obstacles. This category is only for solo participants and is very competitive. Prizes are awarded to the first 3 female and 3 male overall finishers as well as first 3 finishers in the U16 age category.  This race has disqualification (DQ) bands meaning that should a participant be unable to complete an obstacle they will have to hand in their band. They may still continue with the race but will receive a DNF (did not finish) time.  
• Cadets: This category is for solo participants wanting to test themselves without help from others but who are not at the level of a serious athlete. The obstacles in this category are at an easier level than Special Forces. Prizes are awarded to the first 3 female and 3 male finishers as well as first 3 finishers in the U16 age category and U13 age category. This race also has DQ bands.
• Privates : This category is for BEGINNERS who are keen for a fun day out with friends.  Team mates can help each other through obstacles and the level of difficulty is at a beginner’s level. No podiums for this event
• Platoons: This is a Team of 4 Event, The Team must carry, cross or Drag the obstacle together as a Team.  This is a really Fun Format.
• Troopers: This is the kids’ race and is very popular with kids ranging in age from between 4 to 9 years.  They love swinging on obstacles and challenging their friends in the carries. Prizes are awarded to the first 3 male and first 3 female finishers in the U7 age category as well as the U9 category.
