Waterberg Canopy Trail Presented by Trail Hunter Events

Waterberg Canopy Trail Presented by Trail Hunter Events is a 2 day trail running event which earned its name from the variety of enormous trees on the farm, covering the trails.

The topography offers the runner a wide range of visual and physical experiences – vistas, mountains, valleys, perennial streams, ravines towering sandstone cliffs, open savannah bushveld, lichen covered rock formations and a variety of large bushveld trees.

People that want to book specific meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner ) have to take the "no meal option entry fee"

The race takes runners on 4 Green Flag status trails:  

1.    Mountain Trail -The most varied of the four trails it circles the ridge of the mountains that run north to south through Lindani Lodge. Once the runners have reached the beacon at the highest point of the                                     farm, the trail takes them through beautiful ravines and koppies with magnificent big trees        

2.    Kopperspruit Trail - Ascent from the amphitheatre is across the Melkriver followed by a gradual descending path through typical savannah bushveld

3.    Kloof Trail – Follows a watercourse up a narrow kloof with a 160m ascent into a forest area.

4.    Melkrivier Trail – The two fairly steep ascents runs perennially along the river, has large pools & rock gardens
